Strength Behavior of Geopolymer Based SIFCON with Different Fibers

Fabricating cementitious composites with sustainable materials represents an essential aspect in the recent developments construction section. On other hand, using fibers within binding matrix to enhance its strength properties is a familiar application and holds significant importance research community. In this investigation, Geopolymer which based on silica fume (micro-silica) blast furnace slag (GGBS) was reinforced five different fiber types form slurry concrete (SIFCON). Hook-ended steel, crimped elastoplastic, macro twisted, nylon were used, results revealed fact that steel-based specimens generally yielded better when compared types. Normal condition of hook-ended fiber-based increment more than 10% both compressive flexural tests while their elevated temperature showed loss rates less Also, acceptable performance conditions, twisted can be considered as potential for geopolymer SIFCON.
